This great Freelander has our friends and family green with envy - you can understand how they are a byword for toughness, durability, comfort and elegant style. It is both a luxury SUV and a versatile workhorse – and reputedly a great off-roader.
The engine is in tip top condition, it is hugely capable, highly desirable and drives brilliantly. On the motorway it just cruises beautifully, and on the small roads its handling is just right - not too touchy, not too insensitive, it feels solid on the road. The brakes have a similar quality, giving it excellent stopping ability.
The driving position-I love being sat up higher than most vehicles-gives you nearly no blind spots, loads of leg room both in front and back. You can also lower the rear window.
When you drive this vehicle you get both a feeling of fun and safety. It is a very sturdy car that handles all road conditions incredibly well. Its low centre of gravity makes it feel very safe, no sway as with other SUVs.
