Try bunging some 'Bar's leak' (better than 'Radweld' IMO) in the rad.
There's a good chance it will seal a small leak like that.

hi mate does your car smoke quite heavy (white or blue gas)if so you head gasket is gone i had same problem with my last car(hence last car)could be expencive to repair or if you could do it all you will need is a gasket set of ebay for about £20.00 and a box of spanners but if your car is smoking bad it will not pass m.o.t and rad weld will not work for this problem,rich.
