I shopped around and found a great deal on a 2003 Ford Focus - definitely £500 cheaper than any other similar car. I looked round the car and pointed out how weird it was that the wheel nuts were all exposed and you could see they were rusty. The salesman said in a four year old car that was normal.
I signed a contract for the car and collect it in 3 weeks when my money comes in - left a deposit of just £50.
On the way home I saw a similar car with a cover on the alloy wheels covering the wheel nuts which looked loads better. I phoned the garage and they guy said he would see if he could find some knocking around but did not commit to this.
I have priced them up around £15 each or maybe less if i can get some from a salvage place. However, "friends" say I should make them put them on but they didn't come with me to check out the car and I feel like I have got a good bargain and it is not worth losing over some covers.
Any advice what others would do in this position?
