changing ford escort fuel pump

my fuel pump is leeking oil i have to replace it how would be the best way to do this as my car is a k reg, 1992, 1297cc model ford escort how long would it take and is there any special tools needed to do the job

Your fuel pump may be leaking petrol, but I doubt very much its leaking oil. Is it a mechanical or electrically driven pump?

You shouldn't any special tools, although you may want some hose clamps to stop fuel leaking all over the place. Other than, just some sockets, screwdrivers and pliers. You may want to put some new jubilee clips back on when you put everything back together. If you haven't got one already, go and get yourself a Haynes manual from Halfords.
