i have a 90 H reg Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6l. My passenger door lock motor failed to work and locked the door shut. By releasing all the sidepanel screws and giving it a bit of welly and forcing the lock to release, I have been able to get the door open. However, when I release the lock mechanism from the door with the security bolts, I can't release the control rods from the keylock so I still can't get it out of the door. Do I have to take out the door handle and lock first or is there some simple way to release the control rods and switches?
