hi my used car i just bought has ultra light power steering is this a repair job

My flatmate just drove my car, and said their is something wrong with the power steering, as it is to light it doesnt bother me at all but is it faulty than ks in advance :)

Not necessarily. Car manufacturers all design their cars differently, and some power steering systems are lighter than others.

As long as your power steering fluid reservoir is topped up, and there are no squealing noises when you turn the wheel on full lock (try this when you're parked) then your power steering gives the impression its working ok. Its when it gets very heavy that you need to be concerned.

Try and find a similar model to yours and have a drive. That way, you will be able to make a comparison.

Incidentally, is your friend used to driving a car without power steering?
