i have a m reg ford transit 2.5 di, the engine was reconed about 15 months ago (warranty 12 months ). a while ago i noticed that the fuel injector inlet pipe was cracked (it was the section of the pipe connencted to the injector). as such i replaced the injector. their was also a small coolent leakage that i thought was the bottom hose, so i replaced this at the same time as the injector.

when i started the van it began to bolw out white smoke and is rough in idle, and lacks power, the coolannt leakage has also got worse. is this an injector problem? head gasket? or have i got some dirt down the injector hole and thats done something?
please help!!
thanks

White smoke is a tell tale sign that water is getting in to the cylinders. I'd agree with you in saying that the first place to look at is the head gasket.
