2.0 8v auto, changed battery, spark plugs, dizzy cap. run out of petrol but after putting petrol back in (2 jerry cans) it still wont start.

Guess the bloody thing's got blocked up with ****, when you ran the thing out of petrol.

Yeah Jerry cans can be a pain especially if the red lead lining has come away. Have you tried getting a tow?
