Yep, it's the Ford Capris! Possibly one of the most popular cars of it's day, along with the escorts, zephyrs, cortinas and so on.
The car was tip-top for its day and the design was sleek and sporty.

Anyone ever had these back in the days? My old man had the 1300GT, 1600 and the 2000 ghia. I personally want one, but people tell me there's no point…

So... anyone else owned (or even owns) a Capri?

Theres nothing better than making your own car from scratch. I should know ive made three. Working on a car makes it that much more pleasent to drive.

Hey, is it worth me getting a Capri Laser (1.6/2.0) for my next car? My dad keeps discouraging me from ever getting one, but he said he'd have one again if it was in good nick, no more than 60,000-70,000 miles on the clock, and no more than £400.

The Ford Capri was produced at the old Ford Halewood factory in Liverpool, and also over in Germany, and when it was first unveiled to the public at the Brussels Motor Show in January, 1969 it caused a major sensation in the motoring press. Based on Ford’s already very successful American car, the Ford Mustang, it was a breathe of fresh air in a stale and boring motoring market place, and the demand for the car was instantaneous. Best of all it was affordable, with prices ranging from £890 for the base 1300 model, up to a £1,000 for the 1600GT.

Read the full review of the Ford Capri here (http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/cars/ford-capri/1002438/). It's long review, but it's got the info you may need. Worth reading if you're deciding on buying one or just plain interested about them.

Wow that is pretty a vintage car. Well, I guess if i can build my own car, I will surely love too. You're right it will be nice to ride and drive a car that you personally made.
