I have a 2001 2.0 DTi vectra. Starting in the morning need heater plugs. If I drive to papershop car needs heater plugs again. If I drive 500 yards stop the car , no heater plug light comes on and car will wind over for ever to start. This will also happen if i leave car for 3 hours. Ecu seems to tell the car heater plugs are not required but nobody told the engine.

If I turn a corner on low reves the car just loses all its power. it seems to have no power until it gets to 1500rpm.

Replaced injector leak off pipes, Airmass meter, Fuel filter head, Inlet manifold, check all vacuums.

I am at a loss.

DUDE!
A LONG WIND UP TO START THE ENGINE SUGGESTS AN AIR LEAK. BY DOING SO THE ENGINE IS PURGING ITS SELF OF AIR. ONCE PURGED FRICTION TAKES OVER AND FIRES THE ENGINE. GLOW PLUGS ON THESE ENGINES COME ON WHEN REALLY COLD -1 . I THINK YOU HAVE A MAJOR LEAK INTO THE
FUEL SYSTEM. AFTER CHANGING THE LEAK OFF PIPES INJECTOR SEALS ARE YOUR NEXT JOB. THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE.

BEST OF LUCK .
