You can do it yourself and take it to the center, they probably wont
charge you for it either, but you never know!! I went onto a course for 4
mnths and in that time we'd moved area's as well, so when i picked my car
up from the old area late at night the exhaust started to blow, but the
morning as i'm driving round the local 'new' town looking for a exhaust
place i got pulled by the police and same as you 7 day wonder and the MOT
station jobbie, was a little anoyed in a way as i'd explained the stuation
to him and his directions were that poor that he ended up getting me to
follow him to an exhaust station yet still making me then find an MOT
station as well!!
