My BMW car was parked and hit from behind and has been written off by my insurance company. However they have also found some vandalism damage to the roof and rear wing, someone had kicked the wing and run across the roof, which I did not notice when I returned to my car and found it smashed up. Because of this damage they have deducted £1000 from my offer. They are saying that although there is no proof when this vandalism damaged occured they have to assume it was prior to the accident.
Glasses guide quotes a figure of £10,675, they have offered me £9000 which I rejected and they increased to £9250. I have asked why I cannot do 2 claims they say its becasue they are assuming the damage happened after the write off therefore there is no damage to repair.
I am certain that the damage was not there when I parked the vehicle but cannot be sure if it was there when I returned to the vehicle after the accident.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to get my offer increased.
