Hello,
Im 17 (18 in 2 months), i passed my test about 3 months ago and have done pass plus, been lookin for my own car now somthing like a fiesta 1.1 or escort 1.3, but anyway was lookin for some answers, ive done alot of quotes with different companies and theyve all been pretty rediculous prices in my own name. My dad has about 9 years NCB, and i thought i could use his as the named driver and me as an additional one to bring the premium down on a new car, but apperently you can only use your NCB on 1 policy (he has his with direct line) so i cant use his NCB?
Another question i wanted clearing up was, if my dad or whoever bought a car in thier name, and the policy was in thier name with no additional drivers, could i still drive the car and be covered with TPFT as long as i have the policyholders "permission" or is this not the case.
Oh and one final thing ,is it true that pass plus can only get you discount if your the named driver?? that sucks because everything at the moment is 2000+
