the proper expression is giggling pin, someone is winding you up, the saying goes like this. the giggling pin is attachted to the laughing shaft etc etc

as far as im aware the giggle pin is the split pin put in the small drianhole in the bellhousing to keep it clear so that any oil leaking from the rear crank oil seal can escape without fouling the clutch plate

it is a pin in a hole of a thermostat in the engine to allow air through the stat to aid bleeding of the water sys after it has been refilled after draining
