Basically paid by bank to bank TT transfer for a car which the jap dealer has NOT sent as promised.

Ive lost £6000, which was hard earned and saved.

Once the funds were deposited, i cannot make contact with him (Sep 9th 03).

He told me the car would be on a certain boat, but ive checked with the shipping company after becoming suspicious as he's sent no paper work, and it is NOT on the boat.

The bastard has ripped me!

Avoid like the plague!!!

Would u guys email him/phone him, see if u can make contact?

What he doesnt realise is that i have contacts in tokyo who will verify if the place actually exists...and if it doesm i will pay him a visit. Im just afraid of what i'll do because im not known for my diplomacy! Im getting angry even writing this!

How can someone be so down right callous to another person?

Have you contacted your bank? They may be able to reclaim that money?

There is nothing that we can do to help - They are still trading I presume? Also are you able to talk to them?

Hi thx for the reply.

There has been some developments....

Basically after me bombarding him with emails and phonecalls i got a reply on nov 1st by email then a phonecall.

He reckons he's been locked up for the whole of october because he had an illegal immigrant working for him.

He's still trading and says he intends to send the car. I have not yet been given a date of shipment...i phoned him this morning after no reply to an email sent one week ago and another over the weekend, he reckons 'end of this month'.

I dunno what to think? Rather he still intends to rip me and is buying time, or he has had some problems...I will post on here the outcome of this.

If i dont receive a date for shipment by the end of nov i am flying to tokyo, i have japanese friends there who will let me stay with them, then i'll find out for sure whats happening.
