Hello,

I am in tricky situation. It would be great if somebody could help.
I have recently sold my car (privately through autotrader) which was 10 years old but it was in good condition. I had it for more than a year and used it very often. After just 2 days of sale the buyer is asking money back or cost of repairs as he is seeing some problems with the car which I was not aware of. I have signed and posted the V5 document with details and signature of new owner as well.

Am I legally bound to pay him back?

Please let me know as i do not know the rules.

you don't have to do anything, there's no warranty with a private sale

Thanks for your reply. I thought that is the case but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks again.
