Gonna be tricky IMO - how many NCB you got from being on your own insurance? 3-4yrs plus could make a big difference.

Have you tried all the comparison sites? confused, moneysupermarket etc?

I am in a similar situation.. I am 20 years old with 3yrs NCB. I am looking to buy a Mitsibushi FTO but am unable to find a company willing to insure me.

I know it is a high risk, an under 25 driving a high performance car but there must be someone out there willing to accept a certain amount.

I just don't know where to turn...

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try using a insurance comparison site like confused or money supermarket.

Trust me though if you get any good results back phone the company up and get a quote.

Do not mention the price you got until you here what they offer over the phone.

I insurance on me 2K8 Pug 207 GTI came in at £920 fully comp from confused, i phone them up and they quoted like £1500 so i told them about the quote from confused. The bloke was stumped:confused: and confirmed everything with me and had to give me the cheaper quote. Muppet

Check it out.

I am under 25 and have a Subaru WRX

What a combination!

As jazzfingers says: do your research online, get prices and then phone around to get cheaper quotes. Good luck.

One important question is "Is your car imported?" If the answer is yes, most of the online quote systems will refuse to give a price and you'll be forced to phone around for the best price.

Hi there you could try Hoot Car Insurance (http://www.hootcarinsurance.co.uk/) they offer cheap insurance for younger drivers it is worth checking other sites as alot of comparison sites do not overlook all companys :)

For that type of vehice and your age, you'll be lucky at getting it for under 1000. If it's in any way modified, then your looking at more. Best place to look is the back of Max Power magazine, they have a lot more specialist insurers listed there for the higher end vehicles.

Nice car though

I have used price comparison websites which work well but for the past 3 years, the cheapest car insurance (http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump1?mediaId=19300227&catId=19300223) quote I have got has been from the Post Office®

I would recommend getting a quote from the Post Office®

Is this your first time to insure your car? You could always go to www.insuredirect.com, they have a wide range of car insurance companies to cater your needs.

Try swiftcover, they have a discoutn code for £25 off at the moment, it might help to get this a bit cheaper for you;

The best people for high risks are normally Adrian Flux. They do a lot of young drivers/sporty cars or people with bad convictions.

It's pointless trying internet sites because they don't usually quote for high risks, they will always refer you to their call centre instead, or just decline to quote.

The first step u take is very important so be aware of the pit falls of Insurance Companies. And as u mentioned u have a sport car naturally it will cost u some bugs more than normal. But not to worry internet is a good medium of exchanging ideas and finding solution.

First of all find a good Insurance agent who can guide u well in all the prospects of the insurance procedure. Then choose from the best offer that's available online or local.

Being aware is the most important thing that's necessary in difficult times
