hello all,
First thank you for your time. My sister lost her timing belt on the freeway (about 70mph). I am trying to change it for her. I have done older cars and with singel cams. Her trooper is a 1994 3.2 liter SOHC, ok here is the question. the vehicle has two cams sprokets but it is SOHC because the dual belt is to short. on the back cover of the timimg belts. There are to "divits" were acording to the picture the book its the alignment marks. But picture is real bad and hard to make out. The cams (left a groove line with green pain) and cam on the right has another groove line but no paint. The crankshaft sproket has an indent on the back and about 180 degrees of the indent it has a green line painted (no groove) The left bank if I turn them rests on the mark. the right bank cam it rests ither above the mark or just passed it. Can you tell me how to align all the marks? (both cam banks and crank) thank you for your help.
