Essex plod have closed the M25 in both directions because of a warehouse
fire. There's a 27 mile diversion.

The fire began at 9am today, and they reckon the motorway will remain
shut "into Monday morning".

What the **** have they got in the warehouse? Nuclear warheads?

I'm seriously beginning to think that these frequent prolonged road
closures are just taking the piss.

Government documents. Shredding costs probably getting too high. They've
closed the motorway to the public to allow the convoy of lorries easier
access.

Heh, freedom to get any information you want. But not your police records
if you have a criminal record. Oh, and they can exempt any govt doc if
releasing it 'is not in the public interest'.
