I'll bet. Watch out for the ensuing depression. Apparently they all do that

heh ... I read that and imagined you afterwards like the old bloke in
"Holy Grail";
"I'm alive! I'm alive! I feel happy!"

Very much the case as it goes.
I woke up the next day feeling a bit rough, as you do under those
circumstances, but within seconds I was on an "I'm alive I can hardly
believe it" high which has lasted until this day.

Understandable ... I still can't believe how quickly you were back to
normal.
For auvache values of normal, obviously.

TBH it took me by surprise a little. Apart from nursing the seam up the
middle of my chest for a week or two I just felt generally better.
How much of this was due to the relief at having survived the 10%
failure rate of the surgery and the subsequent 10% chance of a wayward
blood clot and how much was due to improved circulation I have no way of
telling. But who gives a ****, the pains in my chest have gone and I am
still alive. A result really from my point of view.
>For auvache values of normal, obviously.
That is a given surely.
