Nonsense. If it pissed them off they'd just change their posting

Something they wouldn't be able to do if the plonkers(tm) could keep
quiet about it.
Mentioning the plonk is futile and pandering to the plonkee. Performing
the plonk may have a limited merit. Don't plonk but ignore seems to
have no drawbacks.
