This morning I are mostly looked at the weather, looked at the bikes,
looked at the Shagwah, and climbed in to be cosseted in leather, have
warm air blown at me, and listen to the radio. Lovely it was.

*Anyway*. This evening I was trundling round the M25. There's a 40 limit
around the M3 / M4 bit at the moment, and it's full of cameras and
unmarked cars. So I set the cruise control for 40, sat in lane 1, and
waited to get there. Oh, a quick aside to the guy in the artic: **** you
pal, if you want to go faster, put your Yorkie down long enough to
change lanes and overtake.

I digress.

A bit before the end of the limit I spot two cars doing an estimated 70,
both in lane 2, about a car length apart. Well, it's a free country.
They're *well* in to licence-losing territory, and they're not exactly
keeping a low profile, but it's their call. They're obviously in a
hurry. Cool.

So I get to the GLF, and for once the variable limits are off. So I dial
in 85, on the principle that you're ****ing unlucky (or doing something
silly) to get nicked on the M25 at that speed, and I'm not in a
particular rush.

And sho'nuff , a few minutes later, I pass the two cars, still
nose-to-tail in lane 2. And still doing 70.

Very odd. I wonder what was on their minds? Very little, I suspect.

You got the radio to work? Fair play! :)

You are a Jaguar driver. It is for *you* to tell them what they're
supposed to be thinking, the sordid little proles.

Yep. Pulled it out and put a nice Sony radio / CD / MP3 unit in instead.

Oh, I did. I suspect they weren't listening.

Citizen's arrest in that case. They've no-one to blame but themselves.
