Hi guys, i am new to this forum and i need advice.
I had RTA about 10 days ago, and it was not my fault. My car was hit from behind, when i was turning left. Other driver admitted that it was his fault, and gave me his insurance details, because i never dealt with accident before i just past my case to solicitor - Did i take right action?
Anyway now 10 days, i heard nothing from his insurance, i been given courtesy car straight away. Couple days ago they sent engineer to value my car and engineer came without letting me know, i could not even unlock my car for him to see all damages.
Next day he reports to my solicitor value for my car £4000, which is not bad (my car vauxhall astra mk4 2004 1.7cdti with 65000 on clock), and he says that car repairable, and repair cost is £2500, which i am not agree, he did not see boot damage inside boot and rear left door difficult to open or close. I spoke to solicitor he advised to move my car to main dealer i get quote from them.
My questions are, will insurance write my car off? and how much likely will i get for my car if its gets write off, again valued £4000 paid 5 month ago £5000.
