I reckon Pip, Nigel, and mebbe Col Tupperware would make a cracking
team. I'd love to do it, but I just don't have the basic metal
bashing skills.

Project Management? You cunt, you'll be hearing from my laywers.
While I imagine myself passably good at the problem solving and
organisation, I think everyone on the team really needs a breadth
skills. While I can saw, hammer and bolt things together, but I can't
weld, or use a cutting torch - more importantly, I don't think I've
got enough experience in contructing things from bits that didn't
originally fit together (with bikes, it's usually pretty obvious where
something's meant to go).

What is REALY essential for a good team is a 'Bear with a sore arse' type
character who's good at supping tea, shaking his head and generally
muttering expletives under his breath about everyone doing f*ck all while
he sups his third cuppa...
I'd gladly volunteer, but I'm sure there'd be ample competition out there on
UKRM for just this character.

I would certainly like their budget...access to some nicely "planted" choice
pieces in the yard that miraculously run/work/fire with a twist of a
wire...the range of tools supplied...a free dinner...oh and unlimited
"access";-) to the bird!
But atm I`m converting a Maico 440 `crosser into a twist`n go drag scooter
just to shut up the factory teams (PSN/PM Tuning and the like) with their
"big bore" 172cc scoots. Ha! 172cc Ha!
Wait `till they get a load of this!

The inability of some of the experts to actually identify the bits of
kit they find is sometimes annoying. As is the way they always remove
the air filters and most of the exhausts of the engines they find, thus
making them run like crap mostly.

Don't ****ing blame me, it was the poor materials and equipment.

I was flicking through the channels a few nights ago and *cough* came
across a raft of those "babes on show" channels, where saddos are
invited to call in at £1 a minute or whatever it is.
My first thought was "no-one's *that* sad" then, a split second later,
"but if they weren't making money at it they wouldn't have it on, or
have so many channels of it".

I know, it's astonishing isn't it. I noticed it while channel hoping one

A few are the same broadcast, but with different SMSs on them [1] ...
I'm assuming they're coining it in at £1.50 a text ... the girls didn't
exactly look the pricey sort, and the production values would leave
change from the price of a bag of chips ...

You misunderstand. I didn't say they were bad, just that they were slow
and they were. The teas were good though but would've been better if
served by you in one of those comedy aprons with tassels on the nipples

I was looking at a 130bhp outboard engine for starters but it was too
expensive.
Next choice was a 500cc Rotax twin from a microlight however I`m pleased
with the Maico lump, 50bhp at 7200rpm in bog std trim powering a 70KG, 8ft
long x 2ft 6" high scooter type thing with loads of room for tuning up to
the upper 60`s bhp.
And there`s always Nos!

70kg, that's less than my CG125. That will be an interesting ride with
those little wheels for sure.

The red dwarf sprinter weighs in at 60kg with a full ( 1.5litre ) fuel tank
and that`s taking into consideration it`s liquid cooled so add the weight of
2litres of coolant plus radiator/hoses/waterpump etc.
