Is my car insured third-party or not?

Hi,

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 4.0l. It's covered by AA Insurance Services on a Third Party policy but I have noticed a mistake on my certificate.

My Name is: MR RYAN FULLER and the insurance certificate says MRS RYAN FULLER.

Does this still cover my car for third party claims? I'm just curious to know if my car has been insured properly for the last 8 months.

The sales consultant had no idea - the system let him amend my name but it only asked me for an amendment fee? Surely seeing as I paid the premium for a woman I should be charged the extra premium?

Obviously a Jeep can do a lot of damage - I dont want to find I go out driving, crash the car causing £1000's worth of damage and find that third-party claims are being refused!

It doesn't really matter to be honest because you hadn't had a claim. If you made a claim within that 8 months then it could be a problem but thank your good fate that you hadn't. Ask your insurance company to change the title and you'll be fine. Try to talk them out of the administration fee though as it wasn't really your fault that they got your details wrong.

It is better if you talk to the insurance company. However, if other information such as Identification number / passport number is correct, then it shall be ok
