This site makes me bugger all money - costs me!, no one gives any feedback, can't be bothered to use this forum ...what is the point?

Your site is pleasing to the eye and seems well put together but is lacking one important thing .... messages !

I discovered it pruely by accident and I suspect many other people havent come accross it yet ... hence the lack of posts. Perhaps you need to investigate registering with acdditional search engines.

In my experience, the only successful forums are where people can come together and have a good old moan about a subject close to their hearts. People then read other people's comments and reply.
Used cars is not a subject I would think is worthy of writing a post then coming back day after day to see if anyone has responded to my comment or not.
Successful forums tend to be about music. People post opinions about clubs they've been to - others that also went to the same place then add their own verdict. The author then writes back etc. etc.
I think what you need here is a general message board that encompasses all of the points you have singled out as subjects on this forum.
I think it's great that people like you are out there trying to make our lives easier but I reckon this forum isn't the right way forward for this kind of site.

It is a very good site but as stated above it isnt very well posted. I didnt see any links at any other sites and hads to trawl through about 30 pages of sites on as.co.uk before i found this. Perhaps you should advertise in Maxpower.co.uk

On a different note. Im a first time buyer. Im 20 and looking for a reliable nippy car that is fun to be in, looks good and doesnt suck the gas like theres no tomorrow. Any suggestions ... You would not believe how many time I have asked this question :lol:

:P I've just stumbled across this forum when I was looking through loads of websites advertising cars. I think that to make this successful you really need to advertise it somewhere-a friends website at first perhaps? Hope you manage to get more people on here as I think it has potential :) Good Luck :!:

I was alerted to this forum on the uk.rec.competitions.

It's a shame that you have to copy the competitions newsgroup and pass it off as one of your own forums. :roll:

This is a recognised mod for phpbb - basically pulls in data from newsgroups. I have nowhere said it is my own data ... But will make it clear on the forum where the data originates from.

I think that it's a good idea, but maybe you should have, I dunno, activities and stuff? like a quiz where you post pictures of cars - not showing the make or model, and people have to guess what it is, just to give people something to do? I'm going crazy trying to find things like that, I want to brush up on my knowledge... :D plus you could sorta have a quiz where you guess the age of the car, or the price it'd sell for, that sort of thing? You could make an Ebay account for your members, where they can sell their cars...
