Having seen references in this group to the Nissan
X-Trail's, for example, 'SVE' and 'Sports' spec,
I'd like to understand the model availability of
the X-Trail over the last couple of years (has it
been available for as long as a couple of years?)
and the associated values.
If someone could publish (or point me in the
direction of) such a schedule, I'd be obliged.
Thanks.

I believe the X-Trail first came out in 2001, but I might be wrong.
A new upgraded version was released December 2003.
Before making a commitment for a 2nd hand X-Trail it might be wise to
check out the story on the following web site. It seems that both
petrol and diesel X-Trails have the ability to seriously conk out at
the end of the warranty period or about 50,000 miles. This appears to
require a replacement engine.

The NEW models have upgraded engines which (apparently) won't suffer
from these problems.
