Hi there all,

The story in Brief:

Me: Currently driving a frontera 2.2Tdi and able to tow legally(test passed
in 1994). Just purchased horse trailer for misses.

Misses: Currently had a trailer bought for her by her kind and loving
fiancé, though not able to tow her pesky ponies legally due to passing test
in late 1997.

The Question: What is the easiest way for 'er in doors' to go about getting
the required license. What will the potential costs of this be and is there
anything else we should be aware of.

Thanks in advance

You can get some really good (and reliable) information from the
National Trailer and Towing Association website (www.ntta.co.uk).

Details of how to go about getting a license to tow combinations
greater than 3.5T can be found on the Driving Standards Agency site
(www.dsa.gov.uk)

The only other thing to consider is whether the trailer with horse/s
can be safely towed by a Frontera. The MGW should be in the owners
handbook somewhere.

Thank you. Apparently according to the handbook it should be more than
capable.
