Hot water

I have cold water to both kitchen and shaower but no hot water -
appears to be an airlock. Hot water flows to kitchen tap if I open
both shower hot and cold taps. If I turn off either of them flow
stops. Water is controlled by a single pressure switch on water inlet
- no microswitches on taps.

Any advice on how to overcome the problem?

Sounds like a leak somewhere. Check there is no leak from the
input from the carrier to the van.
