Last july I bought a Bmw 318i, reg 2001 for £11.5k, with 86k mileage. What a mistake! the car feels too big for me and now because the miles are over 100k dealers are not interested - I've been offered between £5700 and £6500 on a trade in - massive depreciation. It just shows regardless of the make of the car, no-one is interested in a high mileage car...
I just want to get rid of it now, but don't know what to replace it with. I'm looking for something sporty and smallish, but don't want a two seater. Could anyone suggest anything for up to around 12k new/used? I did test drive a 1.6 206 cabriolet, but it didnt seem that fast? also felt a bit tinny. I also want something that is a new shape, I dont want to buy it then a new shape comes out in 6 months and it depreciates rapidly again? Am I asking for the moon here?! any replies would be greatly appreciated because I've been dithering about for 3 months now!
