I want to buy my friend's K-reg Mitsubish Colt GLi 3 door. Its just had and passed a MOT, had a new gear box and clutch, fan belt and wipers. It drives nice too.
The problem is there are 2 noticeable dents on the passenger panels but not much paint damage. There are also small circles of rust on the roof but I'm told these havent got any worse in my friend owning the car for 1.5 years.
The official price guide says £875 for a good condition and £270 for a poor condition Colt. What do you think works in this case? Its immaculate in running with new parts but cosmetically tarnished but fine otherwise.
Mainly I want reliability with paying this kind of price. My friends want £750 but I want to be sure thats fair.
