I inquired about an online auto listing that seemed to good to be true. The seller informed me the car was bought in the US, but was now in the UK. To make a long story short...he said I could wire half of the price of the car (via westernunion) to a friend I have in London. (I am in the US now) Once the car was shipped to the US and I checked it out I could tell my friend to send him the money, and I could wire the other half of the money directly to him. I can not figure out how this could be a scam since the seller is not getting any of my money until I see the car. However, I am still concerned because the deal seems to good to be true. Please advise. Thank You.

OK why would you or he want you to wire 1/2 the money? This is a scam in the making - he is trying to soften you up! It is from the start too complicated - buy another car & let this one pass. Or say yes I have the money with a friend and keep us all posted?
