I am just starting out with looking into welding techniques with regard to restoring a classic car -
what is easiest ?,
what gives best results ?,
which type is most cost effective ? -
I have played with Arc a few times before (too much power for the light stuff) and had an hours lesson on Oxy-acetylene about 10 years ago (seemed easy to melt the metal - but didn't give much strength) - When it comes to MIG a friend gave me his old Clarke 100T welder to see if I could get it working as the feed had stopped working - got this going but the board inside has one of the links blown on it and I have no gas to test it out yet -
Any guidance as to where to start would be appreciated
Cheers
