£30 is the best offer? have you tried to MOT it? Might suprise you if you
think it will fail. When I had my Montego MOT'ed the tester said there's "no
justice in the world," he points at a 4/5 year old car and says "this failed
with cost of around £400 and your scabby shed sails through" :-)

What did you get for it?

Oh, and I think you meant "by then it was already sold", unless it was sold
up until you getting the message, and then the new owner returned it :-)
