names of scammers

I too am being targetted by said spurious Scammers. 3 or 4 people interested in my cheap motor all suggesting third party involvement - shipping agents etc. As suggested by others watch for bad english grammar and the promise of oversize cheques (they often mispel with "check" and poor use of English names like Water Harinton)
They use different excuses for the large amount and request the difference to be sent to their "shipping agent" by Western Union. Strange, though, if they were genuine why not send the money by WU in the first place.
Be aware that although the cheque may clear, it is no gaurantee of funds to support, and may be refused weeks later.
A suggestion: PLAY THEM ALONG BUT DO NOT PASS ANY PERSONAL DETAILS.
Use delay tactics, (others interested, been on holiday, still waiting for cheque - lost in the post ?/ etc) If you waste their time in correspondance they will eventually give up. You may even conclude conversations by advising the item has now been sold. You may at least cause them some aggravation and keep their attention away from other Smucks who might not be as fortunate). The Police advise that they will have little chance of recovering any monies that have left the country - SO DONT)

It is possible to report potential scammers to their respective ISP,s by advising abuse@yahoo.com or abuse@fsmail.net (for examples) and ask them to investigate their account.
