Need to replace the front engine mount in my mk2 GTi. Gen VW item quoted at
£88. Bearing in mind I want to do a few trackdays and possibly take it over
to the 'ring I thought I'd look at fitting an uprated item. Also I have
fitted a TSR 4-1 manifold which doesn't have a proper flexi-joint. The
Vibratech name pops up all over the place regarding this and cheapest I've
found one for is £120.

Are these any good? Any other uprated mount suppliers worth considering?
Any comments or help with this much appreciated.

I think vibratech mounts are only if you want to be hardcore, otherwise
get dealer. Last person I spoke to who had vibratech fitted had them
replaced not long after for original VW ones [1], there is absolutely no
give in them so the engine just shakes the car, he said it was awful.

GSF mounts are awful too, but awfully crap instead.

Personally going on what I've heard I'd go for dealer.

[1] This was somebody on the board of club gti so a fairly hardcore
dubber.

All the Club GTi track types seem to go for Diesel mounts.
