After a week at a welsh campsite last year I couldn't possibly imagine what
you're getting at!
Never been so pleased to see a suspension bridge!!

In support of my celtic brethren and bearing in mind my surname........
The welsh may indeed be ignorant, in the same way as all the nations that
the english have ground under thier heels are less than thankful and
appreciative........

I would respectfully suggest that if more English folk took a little time
out to read history, instead of the Sun, then the need to ask such
miss-guided questions as the OP did, would largely be eliminated!
Sincerely,
a Welshman.

Possibly. Since I don't read the Sun - or any other 'news'paper, I don't
know what the press's attitude to the Welsh is.
I do know a little of Welsh history - not enough - and we have a daughter
who farms in Wales so we spend quite a lot of time there and have no
complaints gainst the Welsh.
I do resent silly comments about other nationalities and, on behalf of
right-thinking English folk, I hope that the OP's comments are regarded as
an aberration and not the attitude of the whole of us. From what you say it
seems that you might think that the majority of us are ill educated and
unthinking. That's not so of the English any more than it is of the Welsh.
There are ignorant folk in all peoples.

I put the OP down as coming from a troll designed to stir up
a row of some sort. There was no qualification, evidence or
justification for the remark, so it is as valid or as
relevant as saying `all martians are pink'.
Trolls are usually best ignored.

Fair assumption given the critical nature of your post and that the

This is the way I see it.
The Welsh have no infrastructure apart from tourism, what the hell do they make apart from worst waiters than the Spanish. The money they receive is provided by us the English clan. How often do you see French, Spanish, American, or any other creed on holiday this tin pot slate country.
If it was not for us English they would have no economy. Yet we go and suffer the ignorance because we love the valleys and fabulous countryside and even the cold beeches. If they were pleasant I for one would spend more of my money. Mind you only have to look at the Lake District for better beauty.
I hate the fact that when I walk in to a pub or shop and they are talking English that they suddenly look at you and switch to yakey da. Even our football rivals the Scots don’t do that.
Lets face it they are worst than the French in ignorance. They class us as a burden on their border. The best thing we can do is close the borders and stop paying our taxes to support them and their bare farmland. See how far they get then on selling sheep.
I live by their border and go elsewhere on my hols.
By the way I am a fourth Dan, so bring it on...... I need some more practice before the Welsh Open.
