My ford escorts rear break lights wont come on. The bulbs and fuses are all fine any suggestions please.

switch on break pedal faulty

check the big square relays on your fuse box.

As " Scout-Service " suggested, probably switch on pedal faulty.Switch on ignition and bridge the two wires to confirm same.

I had this on the last mondeo i owned, it was the pedal switch that was faulty, took it off and cleaned it and it was fine for ever more, just a dirty contact in the switch
