weird problem?

Hello to all im new here on this forum and would like to
thank anyone who can participate in helping me. i drive a
1990 Volkwagon Vento with 46.000kms what happens
from time to time when i drive my car is Tach rpm needle
will drop down to zero at the same time oil light comes on very briefly
then goes out and everything returns to normal again like nothing
ever happend i have changed:

-the ignition module
-replaced spark plugs
-cap and roter
-fuel filter
-cleaned carburetor
-cleaned battery posts and terminals
-checked both battery cables and cleaned ground to body patch
-changed air filter

this problem tends to do it more when the engine is hot
and wont do it everyday has anyone had a similler problem to mine? :confused:

update fixed it my self turned out to be the ignition module

Hi

I have a N reg Vento that has been great to date. However in the past few months it has been stalling at traffic lights on occassion and then i cannot start it for 5 - 20 minutes.Recently the problem has got much worse to the point that i could not start it for 2 days and then suddenly it started.
I have changed:
Ignition Module
HT leads
Distributor
Dist Cap and rotor Arm

Now when engine turns over and not starting - turn key to off position and the engine tries to run on. There is no spark at the HT leads!!.
