Audi 80 L reg suspension

I have an Audi 80 L reg 1.9 TDI. I have just recently purchased it and would like to know is they came with sports suspension as standard - as the ride seems a little hard in comparison to my old car - vauxhall cavalier.

Or is it the bushes on the way out ?

it will feel harder as deisal shockers are stiffer because of the heavier engine
