I'm wondering about a 2.2l turbo diesel hilux. It's a Japanese import with
seats, air con, etc. Any ideas of fuel consumption, spares availability, off
road ability, etc? We recently sold a S3 Landrover :-( but want a family
wagon that will cope well with green lanes and motorways.
Thanks,

When I took a 2.4TD Hilux (twin cab, no A/C) on a camping trip to Devon
last year I think we averaged around the 35-40mpg mark. Better than I
thought it would get.
Unfortunatly never took it offroad but I hear the rear leaf springs let
their offroad ability down to some degree. Others here will probably be
able to give you some more detailed info.
