No Since you used GBP costs would be Shipping Approx 500 bringing you to 3500
plus agent fees clearance say 150 running total 3650 inport duty 10% 365 RT
4015 now vat on top 702.62 total costs 4717.62. Sorry but you pay vat on the
duty these are only approx as you might get say $1.85 to the £ .but customs
might allow $1.81 ............Regards David

I think you can get away with that (or at least a lower rate) if it
was a car that was originally made in Europe, or is considered "rare".

I wouldn't like to bet on it,Imagine assuming you will get a reduced duty and
then you don't . I think in the early 90s people got it (and abused the system
at the same time) Remember HMC&E lack any kind of sense of humour!!!!! .David
