Wondering if anyone can help, I have a 156 2.4jtd Y reg, 113/k, am experiencing major power loss when pulling out of junctions or accelerating from low engine revs but only when engine has warmed up, when i pull off i can open throttle fully but engine just very slowly picks up until around 3000 revs then all of sudden power cuts in and black smoke comes out of the exhaust, it is ok then until you come to a junction or slow down to lower revs then the problem returns. When car is started from warm, engine is very lumpy for first couple of seconds. Had diagnostic check at Alfa which came up negative. Thanks in advance, Dave.

Presumably you have had this fixed by now? What was the answer? I have a147 JTD that is doing something similar and I suspect diagnosis may be negative because it's intermittent. Cheers, Ian
