Just like everyone else above my radio is in the all mighty "SAFE" mode i tried the last 4 digits of my auz number on the radio with no avail i also was at a local audi dealer and they told me it's 1 hr labor ????????

is there any way someone here can get the code 4 me?

Hi! I have an Audi A4, 2004. I got an interface for my radio to connect to my i pod. Disconnected power to install and now the radio shows safe... Just had the car 2 months and does not have codes... Somebody please help me. My serial is AUZ524C5279898..

My VIN is WAULC68E84A088848. The radio has been replaced seems because there are two different codes in the glove compartment but none match the serial numbers...

If you do not have the code (and you have NOT fitted the handsfree yet ) then you can protect your radio memory by either connecting your battery charger across the cables when you remove them from your battery OR buy one of these off Ebay (or make your own using a PP9 and a Cigar Lighter Lead.)
