I dont no if anyone can help me but i had a phone call from a guy at vehicle connect and they said i had to pay a deposit that i will get back once my car is sold. I payed £129. I havent heard anything since Saturday morning when the guy called me. He sounded genuine and i have never had to do this before. This is the first time i am selling something on the internet and now i am worried that i have just been stung. I keep trying to ring back on the number that this Gordon Thompson guy rang me on but no body ever seems to answer and i am getting really worried now. What am i to do? :(

If you know the name of the company contact trading standards and explain to them what was said and what happened as well as that ask if anyone else on the forum has experienced this problem.

Sorry looks like you may have lost your money seems this is a very common scam i have too been conned into parting with £99.50 but my credit card company is treating this as a disputed payment and their fraud team are involved, so if you paid with a credit card maybe contact them and see if they will be willing to help. the number i have is 01992 703305 ring any bells?
