I recently had my car up for sale. I'm in the business anyway but i thought I'd spread it on a few other sites and see how it did. I got a call from someone saying they had seen my car on the auto-trader website and was the car clean and potentially ready for a viewing that evening. It was perfect and exactly what they are after.
I was obviously keen and chomping at the bit. Then, after about 5 mins of priming me, the girl on the phone said she was representing another company that had 1000's of buyers across the UK and if I gave her my credit card details and £75 she'd start giving out my details to people who were desperate to buy my car.
I'm guessing that they were hoping that someone would buy the car via auto-trader anyway and they'd make a quick £75 quid.
