Hi, I'm trying to buy some second-hand tyres (with rims) for my car (peugeot 205) and I'm the first to admit I don't know my arse from my elbow. My car currently has 165/70/13 and I've been told (by some bloke down the pub) that there's a bit of leeway on the 165 (say 145 - 175) but not on the others. Is this right. I've also been told that the bolt pattern has to match (in my case 4/108) and that even if all these measurements match then the size of the hole in the centre also has to match (65.1mm apparenlty...). I'm drowning in numbers....

Basically, are there any other cars that share these measurements, and how do I find out which they are.

I should probably add that I'm in the north of Sweden at the moment and that finding second hand peugeot wheels is tricky, hence the need to find out if I can get them off other cars.

Hope this rambling nonsense makes some sense to somebody,

Any help gratefully received.

Saab 9000 : 4 x 108, centre hole 65 mm (same as Peugeot) .
Ford have also 4 x 108 , but the centre hole is only 63,4 mm.
You can find information about all cars at this site:
