Has anyone else experienced their Disks warping on their GTV or GTA?

I have an '02 156 GTA and the standard disks warped so I bought some cross drilled and grooved aftermarket disks from EBSpares. They also warped and am now on my 4 set of disks. This always occurs under heavy braking at high speed - Emergency braking on Motorway a prime example. As if the disks just get too hot, cant disipate the heat quick enough and the disks warp. I had chat with an Alfa Mechanic who said Alfa were aware of this but never did a recall. There is a Big Break kit available apparently but its not covered under warranty and must be bought and fitted at the owners own expense. I was quoted around £900 gbp! for parts and fitting. Alfa never made the break upgrade public knowledge.

My brother owns an '01 GTV and ha sthe same problem. Neither of us are track day'er or drive the cars REALLY hard and these 'consumables' are getting very exspensive! Anyone had similar issue or does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Many thanks.
