Imported cars

I thought I'd offer some advice here.

i recently imported a car from Germany, not to save money but to get the exact model I wanted. Insuring it proved to be a bit of a hassle, as many people would not quote for it. A list of people who would quote was:

A-Plan (Thatcham centre)
Adrian Flux
Churchill
Direct Line
Egg
Firebond
Footman James
Norwich Union
Tesco Personal Finance

WINNER: A-Plan - underwritten by Markerstudy - came out as the best and cheapest deal.
