This is a two owner car from new and it has been very very well looked after. It has been maintained regardless of cost and has a pile of reciepts to back it up, including copies of all MOT’s. It has both keys.
It has a full service history.
You may have heard that the early V8 versions of the XJ had a problem with premature bore wear which causes a loss of compression, requiring a new engine. When buying a V8 made before 2001 always check to see if the engine has been replaced or you may suffer a large repair bill. You will have no worries with this car, both the engine & gearbox were replaced under warrant by Jaguar at 72000.
I have recently fitted 3 new tyres and the battery was replaced last year
The MOT runs until 17th February 2007, the tax expires at the end of August.
This car has been my pride & joy for the last four years. This is a fine example of an XJ it is in allround great condition.
Outside the original painwork is in fantastic condition the only marks on it are a small parking dent on the drivers door and a couple of stone chips on the bonnet, otherwise it is free of any scratches, dinks or dents. It really does look almost as good as the day it left the factory.
Inside is also immaculate with the exception a broken air vent in the rear (my club footed daughter is to blame for that!) All of the electrics are in perfect working order and the aircon is one of the best around. It will still freeze the interior on a hot day if you want it to.
This car is a pleasure to drive with no apparent faults.
